There's no denying it: The world loves a good diss track. However, best practices dictate that one should avoid dissing someone who can utterly destroy you and melt the earth beneath your feet. Such is the case of Shaq and his sad attempt to diss Portland's beloved Trail Blazer Damian Lillard.

According to XXL, last Thursday former Lakers superstar Shaquille O'Neal (who goes by the DJ name Shaq Diesel) released a diss track on his Instagram page in response to Lillard's comments on the Joe Budden Podcast that the Blazer could rap better than Shaq. Eye-rollingly titled "The Originator," Shaq also disparaged Dame's ball-handling skills, claiming he's not in the same class as other MVP winners like Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook... and himself, of course. Here's a taste of his attempted burn:

"How you say that you better than Dies / When you ain't got more cheddar than Dies / What you talkin' bout? / Legendary I'm a hip hop scholar / I'm tryin' to get a billion who gives a fuck about a D.O.L.L.A."

Listen to all of it here.

Unfortunately for Shaq, when Portland's Damian Lillard comes for you, HE DOES NOT PLAY.

This morning Dame—who goes by the moniker Dame D.O.L.L.A. and released this third album this summer, Big D.O.L.L.A.—fired back at Shaq with a diss track of his own, called "Reign Reign Go Away," and then casually dropped the mic.

In the track, Lillard takes shots at Shaq's own court skills and MVP status, reminding him that "Kobe won you those rings though," and needled the former Laker for his cringe-worthy film appearances in Blue Chips and Kazaam.

Here's a snippet:

"I fill the tank up with diesel/You jealous of me and I see you/'Cause on this day originals can't fuck with the sequel/I'm new school, got new hits/Space Jam, not Blue Chips/Hang man, your shoe's shit/Dame 6, I'm too lit."

Ouch, ouch, OUCH! You can go bye-bye now, Shaq! Listen to the entirety of "Reign Reign Go Away" here, and join us in bowing before the majesty of Portland's pride, Damian Lillard.
