The Trail Blazers won their fourth straight game on Saturday night, taking down the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-106 in a hard fought game. Minnesota was without their star center, Karl Anthony Townes, and Blazer center Hassan Whiteside went to town in his absence, collecting an impressive 22 rebounds, 7 blocks, and 16 points. Lillard, McCollum and Kent Bazemore accounted for most of the other Blazer points in a well rounded effort. Carmelo Anthony sat the game out with a bruised knee.

Let's have a look at a some of the block party thrown by Whiteside, shall we?

The dude was a monster! Take a look at this:

As you can see, nearly every time one of the Timberwolves tried to get off a shot near the basket, Hassan showed up to swat it away. It was quite a show. Unfortunately, this strong interior defense was not matched out on the perimeter and the Wolves were allowed open three point shots all night. This kept the game close.

This Wolves fan was from Seattle. That didn't explain why he was rooting for the Wolves, but hey, that's okay.

With this season high four game winning streak the Blazers now hold strong to 8th place in the west and are knocking on the door of 7th. They take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, another winnable contest as the Blazers make their case to resurrect a season in which some worried they had slipped out of relevancy.
