Do you like ambrosia, aspics, or Jell-O? How about bingo, trivia, and raffled prizes?

Then the Mid-Century Portland Potluck Party, which goes down at the East Portland Eagle Lounge on Hawthorne Boulevard on Sunday, February 11, has your name written all over it.

Here’s how it works: You and a bunch of your friends (and future friends) just need to whip up a homemade mid-century modern dish, bring it the the Lounge to pass around, and eat your way through one another’s inspired creations.

And that raffle? You can juice your chances in that, too, because this potluck is also a food drive to benefit the Oregon Food Bank. In other words, you can get an extra tickets for every can of food you bring.

Naturally, you’re also encouraged to dust off your best mid-century modern duds and strut your stuff.

The event starts at 4:30 pm and lasts until 9 pm at the East Portland Eagle Lounge at 4904 SE Hawthorne on Sunday, February 11. Should you choose to enter your dish into a round of judging, you can do so. Judging begins at 5:30 pm. Minors are welcome, but the Eagle will boot them once the clock strikes 9. Booze is available at a no-host bar, so save that 1950s-era spiked punch for another time. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.
