Good Morning Portland! The weather sure has been nice recently huh? Well, that's over now. Starting this afternoon, it'll be rainy and cloudy till Friday. Enjoy that morning sun while it lasts! Let's get to the news.

First Lady Melania Trump has finally announced her children's agenda, and the sign and slogan both seem like they were created by a child: "Be Best."

It kind of seems like she woke up in the morning, painted a sign with the first thing that popped into her head, then said it was about preventing opioid abuse. Some have pointed out that it may be a failed attempt to emulate Michelle Obama's coined phrase, "be better." Oh, and part of the campaign is about fighting cyber bullying—maybe she should call her husband about that.

EPA head Scott Pruitt is a secretive dude, according to documents obtained by the Sierra Club. In the name of security, Pruitt's team has carefully crafted the message at every event he attends.

Trump is planning to announce his decision with the Iran Nuclear Deal today, and I think we can guess which way it's going. NPR's daily podcast Up First has some good analysis of what that could mean.

#MeToo: New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has resigned amid allegations that he assaulted four women. The allegations came out in a New Yorker article detailing his tendency toward domestic violence in intimate relationships.

People are mixing up Parkland victim Emma Gonzalez with another Emma Gonzalez in Brooklyn—they're accusing her of being a "crisis actor" and stalking her because of it. Conspiracy theorists have long assumed that victims of mass shootings are faking it, and now people who share the names of those innocent victims are being victimized as well.

I don't really follow fashion that much, but I'd gladly vote for Rihanna to be The New Pope (is that a Star Wars joke?) after she showed up to the Met Gala dressed like one.

The Department of Homeland Security is threatening that it will prosecute more undocumented immigrants. Those stopped by Border Patrol will be sent directly to a detention center to await trial—though kids will go through refugee resettlement, they'll be forced to go without their imprisoned parents.

Ben Carson is getting sued: As the director of Housing and Urban Development, Carson decided he'd just cancel some anti-segregation rules when it comes to affordable housing, and now he's facing a lawsuit over it. I have only one question: Why do Republicans hate poor people so much?

This isn't related to a specific national headline, but I thought I'd let you know my newsy podcast recommendation of the week: Caliphate. The New York Times created a weekly show all about the inner workings of the Islamic State, hosted and reported by talented reporter Rukmini Callimachi. It's all we can talk about at the office on Mondays, so check it out.

There have been terrible floods in Kenya that have displaced 260,000 and killed over 100. What's more, the floods have destroyed a lot of farmland, which could have terrible impacts for those farmers.

Hey, have you voted yet? Get on it! The deadline for mailing in your ballot is this Thursday. Not sure who to vote for? Here are our endorsements.

It's starting to feel like summer, so it's time to check out the wildfire forecast. If you're hoping to get some nice camping in, try to do it in June.

That's all, folks! Enjoy the sun while it lasts, and enjoy some "true facts" about carnivorous plants.
