Thanks to the school children who flushed an ice cube down the toilet, put a spoon under their pillows, and wore their pajamas inside out last night, Portland is blanketed with snow today. (I'll provide a lengthy rant against these inconsiderate children later.) But for now, here are the details for your morning commute.
According to the National Weather Service, Portland got a respectable 1.5 inches of snow last night, leaving the roads both snowy and icy. Don't expect any more white stuff today, and in fact, you shouldn't expect any more snow until perhaps Friday.

Because this is Portland, multiple accidents have already been reported, and authorities are advising commuters to delay their trips until the weather warms up enough to melt the icy streets. People are not listening.

If you have to go into work, TriMet is running but there are delays. Check the TriMet Service Alert Twitter for the latest news on trains and bus routes.
All MAX lines delayed up to 20 minutes in both directions, due to an earlier switch issue near Rose Quarter Transit Center.

And as expected, all Portland Public Schools are closed today. Thanks a pant-load, ice cube toilet-flushers!
As for the rest of the day's weather, expect clearing skies by the afternoon with a chilly high of 38 degrees. Stay tuned for more details!
