Yes, it's true. For the first time in 19 years the Portland Trail Blazers will be competing in the Western Conference Finals. They pulled off a gutsy come-from-behind win in Denver on Sunday afternoon, erasing a 17 point deficit and defeating the Nuggets in game seven of their hard-fought series. CJ McCollum was the hero of the game, scoring 37 points and hitting the big shots down the stretch. And now the Blazers must face off against the Death Star of all basketball teams, the Golden State Warriors, in what we all hope will be a memorable series.

Golden State, three-time NBA champions, are the clear favorite in this series, especially given Portland's banged up status (Nurkic out, Kanter with a separated shoulder, Rodney Hood questionable with a knee injury). But the Warriors have a big injuries of their own to contend with. Superstar Kevin Durant is out for at least the first two games, as is their bruiser center Boogie Cousins. So there's a sliver of hope for the rebel fighters from the north. Do you believe, Rip City?
