Global pop/R&B icon Janet Jackson, the youngest of the Jackson family, is will play Moda Center on Thursday, August 20 as part of her "Black Diamond World Tour." According to a recent news release, the outing will feature "new music from her highly anticipated, forthcoming album, Black Diamond, set for release this year. Performing songs from her 12 multi-platinum albums including a special performance of Rhythm Nation 1814, which recently marked its 30th Anniversary."

While it's unclear just how long this living legend will continue to tour (after all, she gave birth at 50), this could be one of our final chances to see her slay songs like "That's the Way Love Goes," "Control," and "Together Again" on this scale. And according to those who've seen her perform in recent years, including her residency in Vegasā€”like Mercury Editor-in-Chief Wm. Steven Humphrey, who reportedly "lost his goddamn mind"ā€”Jackson still puts on one hell of a show.

Tickets go on sale this Thursday, February 13 at noon.
