Caitlin Weierhauser and Amy Miller
Merrily named Uncle Cait and Aunt Amy’s Holiday Party, Caitlin Weierhauser (a “butch American,” and Portland’s Funniest Person 2017), and Amy Miller (a favorite on season nine of Last Comic Standing and host of the Who’s Your God podcast) give us something to be jolly about by returning to Portland on a mid-December Saturday. Encouraging everyone to wear their holiday best (wear a NICE sweater, or risk having your UGLY holiday sweater judged from the stage), the pair promises holiday stories, “carol karaoke,” as well as special guests. Come get your holiday on with these two genius comics.

Bri Pruett
After breaking all our hearts and moving to LA, body/sex-positive comedian Bri Pruett has been making lots of major waves. In addition to her successful solo show Stellar, Pruett’s been on Dan Savage’s The Lovecast and Comedy Central’s Roast Battle; she’s performed at Bridgetown Comedy Fest, Bumbershoot, All Jane Comedy Fest, TBA Festival and more. She’s even done a TEDx talk on beauty standards in media. Did you know she even used to write a sex and dating column for this here Portland Mercury called Let’s Do It with Bri Pruett? (I miss it so!) Luckily, Pruett still loves her old stomping ground enough to show us a little love during the holiday season. The hometown hero headlines Old Town Comedy Show’s final show of the year and I couldn’t be more excited. Pruett’s is the hilarious, fearless, and fun voice we need right now.

Matt Braunger
Portland-raised comedian Matt Braunger’s resume is insanely long. He’s done is rounds on late-night talk shows, made appearances on BoJack Horseman and Chelsea Lately, and in 2010 and 2012 released a couple specials presented by Comedy Central. Braunger is also the co-founder of Portland’s gone but not forgotten Bridgetown Comedy Festival. His Netflix special Big, Dumb Animal is available now, and he’s got another hour-long special on the way this February.

Aaron Ross
Aaron Ross is yet another Portland comedian who left town to pursue career dreams in sunny, not-as-cool California. In addition to Ross’ online sitcom Training Wheels, which will wrap up its 10-episode season with a finale on December 10, he’s also coming home to play a holiday edition of Who’s the Ross? at Dante’s on December 18. This installment of the late-night talk show features Simpsons writer Bill Oakley, former Portland Trail Blazer Antonio Harvey, and actress Kat Cunning from HBO’s The Duece. With this killer lineup, it’s a wonder the show only costs $10.
(Tues Dec 18, 9 pm, Dante’s, 350 W Burnside, $10)
