Long time lovers of Portland comedy know Andie Main. She’s the originator of such great local shows like the popular Cool Kids Patio Show (at Doug Fir) and the influential Revolution Comedy that raises money for progressive organizations. Her humor is personal and fiercely political—so it’s about goddamn time that she record a comedy album! (And she is!)

This Sunday, September 8 at 7 & 9 pm, Andie will be recording her new comedy album, Magpie (on the Blonde Medicine comedy label), at Kickstand Comedy and the lineup is extremely impressive. Backing Andie up will be THREE of the top Portland’s Funniest finishers, Corina Lucas, Shain Brenden, and Adam Pasi, as well as the also very funny JoAnn Schinderle, Scott Losse, Jason Traeger, and Hunter Donaldson.

It’s sure to be a great night of comedy, and a well-earned tip ‘o the hat to one of Portland’s longtime comedy stalwarts, Andie Main. Miss this show at your peril!

(Sun Sept 8, 7 & 9 pm, Kickstand Comedy, 16 NW Broadway, $10 tickets at merctickets.com)

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)
