—Our wonderful local institution, the Museum of Contemporary Craft, is gearing up for a new summer exhibition, State of Oregon Craft. Featuring over 50 objects and 15 makers from around the state, "from spruce root baskets and leather saddles to conceptual jewelry and a kinetic glass and sound sculpture," the exhibit opens June 5 and will run through August 15.
—The westside location of Backtalk finally has an opening date! Mark your calendars for a grand opening slated for June 4 (5-8 pm) at 421 SW 10th.
—Honeyfox Jewelry recently shot a lookbook for their S/S '15 collection, "Badland Blues," with Amanda Leigh Smith. Says designer Heidi Lieberman of the concept, "My inspiration for this shoot came from my heart, with some extra guidance from Amanda. She told me when she thinks of me she thinks of a honky tonk angel, which was pretty on point since I have that tattooed on me! I am so in love with all things country. I was lucky enough to grow up in it, and I will always be connected to it." Hit the jump for a few more shots of this Lookbook of the Day.
