Oregon Wine Month is nigh upon us (that’s May, if you're not sure) and the corks will be popping all over wine country for special events and promotions. There are options though for the non-peripatetic who don’t want to leave town. Restaurants will be offering special glass pours and flights throughout the month—you can travel geographically (and spiritually) all the way from Muselet on the SW Waterfront to Salty’s on the Columbia for tastings.

On Sunday, show the love for your local vintner as Portland’s 14 urban wineries come together for an afternoon of wine and food. Meet the owners and winemakers, drink their wine (each one will offer two or three pours) and enjoy small plates from Cuisinières Catering. (Get tickets by April 29 for a discounted entry of $32.) Bookending the month, Hip Chicks Do Wine will be pouring all of their wines (including new releases) over Memorial Day weekend in their Wine Country Without the Drive party (early bird pricing, $15).
