Wonkette brings a story from The Daily Caller to our attention: It seems that three anonymous people who are claiming to be "close to Michele Bachmann" have said that she frequently suffers from debilitating migraine attacks. She reportedly carries an array of pills at all times to take before, during, and after the attacks, which the sources say are often stress-related.

The sources refer to the attacks as "incapacitating," and they cite a recent case where a high-level Bachmann staffer quit and the resulting migraine reportedly sent Bachmann to the hospital and forced to her cancel an event:

To staff, Bachmann has implausibly blamed the headaches on uncomfortable high-heel shoes, but those who have worked closely with her cite stress, a busy schedule and anything going badly for Bachmann as causes.

Alice Stewart, a spokeswoman for Bachmann, said ”she suffers from migraines and they’re under control with medicine.” Stewart contested descriptions of the episodes as “incapacitating” Bachmann but did not specify how the descriptions were wrong. “The information you have is incorrect,” Stewart said. She declined to discuss Bachmann’s hospital visits at all, saying, “I’m not going to go into her medical history.”

Well, even if this is true and not a plant from some other candidate's camp, I don't think it should be a problem. After all, nothing ever goes badly for the president.
