Shadowland
Experimental Louisiana/San Francisco art collective the Residents bring their latest project, Shadowland, through town tonight. It’s part three of their Randy, Chuck, and Bob Trilogy, but don’t worry if you’re not all caught up—they’ll screen a new film, followed by a multimedia set featuring music from all stages of the Residents’ unparalleled career. Andrew Endres Collective, The Crenshaw, Amani
For this installment of the monthly Ear Candy series, check out the modern jazz of Andrew Endres Collective. Late last year the local group released their bright but haunting debut studio album, Desolation. The lineup also features experimental duo the Crenshaw and up-and-coming trio Amani, which includes Dan Talmadge, Yafe Aros, and Shy Girls’ saxophonist Noah Bernstein. CIARA DOLAN
