FRIDAY

COMEDY

Portland’s First Annual Comedy Pageant
The city’s first annual comedy pageant is less Toddlers and Tiaras and more I Think You Should Leave. It’s also an easy way to familiarize yourself with dozens of local comedians. A whopping 50 comedy acts will show up to bemuse the crowds on Fridays from July 12 to August 2, and panelists and audiences (that means you!) will vote for their faves. Each contestant will have only five minutes to perform, so expect tight, rapid-fire funnies as comics battle it out for the crown and title of Portland Comedy Royalty. LINDSAY COSTELLO
(Curious Comedy Annex, King, $10-$12)

EverOut is The Mercury's new website devoted to things to do in Portland and across the Pacific Northwest. It has all the same things you're used to seeing from Mercury EverOut Staff, just in a new spot!...
