It’s a big week for live music, with the Foo Fighters, Ethel Cain, Built to Spill with Yo La Tengo, and Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo all playing venues around Portland. Of course, we’re also dishing on plenty of other don’t-miss events below, from Comedy Bang! Bang! Live! to the PDX Adult Soapbox Derby.

TUESDAY

LIVE MUSIC

Ethel Cain
Alabama-based artist Ethel Cain (aka Hayden Silas Anhedönia) will bring her ethereal Gregorian chant-inspired indie pop to town in support of her critically acclaimed album, Preacher’s Daughter. The concept album draws on her personal experience as the daughter of a deacon while crafting a fictionalized horror narrative centered around the character of Ethel Cain (spoiler alert: closing track “Stranger” reveals that she runs away from home only to be murdered and eaten by a cannibalistic psychopath.) AUDREY VANN
(Pioneer Courthouse Square, Downtown)
