“When a timeless record is married to a thoughtful visual, the impact can raise your senses of sight and sound to a new plane.” That’s the thought process—nay, the manifesto—for the Video Jukebox party thrown by mastermind Greg Nolley at Century on a recent Thursday. Greg wanted to watch his favorite videos in a room full of his best friends (and potential new best friends), so he made a night of it. Century—a sports bar with lots of big screen TVs—was the perfect venue to kick off Video Jukebox’s maiden voyage, and Greg is thinking of producing it quarterly… so don’t miss the next one! What you’ll see are videos of hip-hop jams (think A Tribe Called Quest’s “Scenario,” Outkast’s “Players Ball,” and Clipse’s “Grindin’”) and a sprinkling of some new that will fill your ears and soul with the best beats and rhymes. xo, PP
