Farewell, Ash Street Saloon!
Sadly, itโs the last call for theย Ash Street Saloon.ย For its final week of shows, the downtown venue is celebrating a different genre every nightโindie rock, hip-hop, punk rock, rock โnโ roll, and metalโwith lineups featuring longtime regulars likeย Mic Crenshawย andย Sustainer. Itโll be a two-birds, one-stone situation: Say goodbye to a piece of Portland music history while ringing in the New Year with five nights of killer shows. Tonight: King Ghidora, J. Graves, Another Neighbor Disappeared, The Hoons, The Bible Belts, Pink Tornado, and Aux.78 CIARA DOLAN

Revolution Comedy presents: Stand Up for Portland’s Resistance
The final Revolution Comedy of the year benefits one of the most active community organizations of 2017. Portlandโs Resistance sprang up late last year, as local activists struggled to make sense of Trump losing the popular vote, but winning the presidency. The groupโs been a thorn in the side of local politicos and business tycoons ever sinceโmost recently shutting down downtownโs Columbia Sportswear store while advocating for the homeless. Even if you care nothing about that, tonightโs lineup is killer. DIRK VANDERHART

Aminรฉ: Glitterpop
Right after the Roseland reemerges from its Christmas break, Aminรฉ (Portlandโs most viral rapper, whose breakthrough performance โCarolineโ weโve been blasting the last two summers), is playing two nights of โGlitterpopโ shows. The flyer promises special guests and reads โglitter required,โ so make sure youโre mentally prepared for that fantastic mess. The bad news is both nights are sold out, but the good news is that Aminรฉ is so famous now that it looks like youโll be able to score some on StubHub. JENNI MOORE
