That's the trailer for the new Charles Bradley documentary that premiered at SXSW this year, and which I'm dying to see—if you've ever caught Bradley's live show, you'll know why. The man has an extraordinary backstory, which you can get a glimpse of in the trailer.

BUT: Some unfortunate news. Bradley was scheduled to play the Aladdin Theater on May 25. That show has been postponed until December 5, which is a bummer—but also an early Christmas present, if you look at it that way. All tickets will be honored, and refunds for the May 25 show will be available at the point of purchase. Bradley's vintage soul is worth waiting for, so here's to an extra six months to get excited.

Hopefully the delay will allow time for Charles Bradley: Soul of America to get a Portland premiere, which will only result in Bradley earning more well-deserved attention. If and when the doc is scheduled to come to town, we'll let you know.
