Like most Americans, odds are you don’t have a dental plan. So let’s just assume this totally free new record from art-rock duo Experimental Dental School will be as close as you come to a dentist’s chair anytime soon. Plus, this record will hurt less and won’t lecture you about the merits of flossing.
It’s true, the local (via Bay Area) band has released Forest Field for download via their site, and in the future they’ll have full artwork versions (CD/LP) available for purchase as well. You can also make a donation to the band, since—in the wise words of my 10th grade economics teacher—there is no such thing as a free album of angular rock music. Or a free lunch. I always get those two confused.

Does the Mercury not have access to google? The majority of Americans definitely do have dental insurance, making the opening of your post sort of baffling.
No, we only use Lycos for our searches.
Can you send us proof of your claim?
Ask Wm Steven, perhaps he’ll enroll you in a remedial research skills class.
Post ruined!!!
Ezra, maybe you should have said, “Like most Americans, odds are you don’t have an experimental dental plan. That’s because experimental dental schools are TOO EXPENSIVE. But now, thanks to Experimental Dental School, things just got a lot cheaper! etc.”
This is great news!
I promise to never write about the dental industry ever again.
Follow-up: this album rules! Thanks for the heads up about the d/l. And thanks XDS for letting us snag it. See you April 1st at Slabtown!
Live, I seem to remember them jamming out that last song a lot longer… but I also seem to remember him not being a lefty. so what do I know?
