Every year at Pickathon, there are essentially two music festivals happening concurrently: Pickathon day mode and Pickathon at night. Day mode is families, sun hats, hydrating, lounging, and watching intimate sets at forested stages (or inside the air conditioned barns). Pickathon at night is crowding under the stars at the Paddock Stage, neon-hued dance parties, sculpture art that twinkles and glows, and the grateful slumber found in one's tent—maybe the last show wrapped up hours ago or maybe you're drifting off to nearby rhythms. As he's done for the past two years, photographer Mathieu Lewis-Rolland captured some of his favorite sets for us, and in doing so, provided an atmospheric view into Pickathon at night.
