First up is this week's feature (make sure to pick up a print copy), where we teach you easy ways to get your shit together in 2018 (click on individual posts on the "Get Your Shit Together" sidebar).

Next up is Dirk VanderHart's news story on a complicated landlord-tenant law in Portland.

Trump's Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, is again threatening sanctuary cities for not being sufficiently cruel to immigrants. Mayor Ted Wheeler spoke on that yesterday:

Some good reporting in The Oregonian about blacked-out records and the lack of police accountability.

Well, this is terrifying and sad: An 8-year-old boy in Pilot Rock, Oregon, died because of a flesh-eating bacteria.

In the O: "The mother of an 8-year-old student with autism has filed a $992,000 lawsuit against the David Douglas School District, claiming an instructional aide assaulted the boy while he was strapped into his seat on a school bus last year."

A former Bank of Oswego executive was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Up to 50 private security guards will enforce TriMet rules:

A disgusting case.

Trump is in Switzerland, ready to embarrass us.

He's incredibly dumb.
