Following Trump's foolhardy assassination of Iran general Qassim Suleimani, the country struck back against the US yesterday by firing two rounds of ballistic missiles at Iraqi bases that housed American troops. Apparently no one was killed in the attacks (some reports state that the government intentionally avoided causing any deaths), though the Iranian government says otherwise, adding that while they do not seek war, they're promising to kick all US forces out of the region.

Trump delivered a national address this morning, unsuccessfully trying to justify the assassination of a leader from another country.

Strangely, right after Iran's attacks, a Ukrainian Boeing 737-800 airliner leaving Tehran crashed soon after takeoff, killing all 176 people on board. While officials aren't saying for sure, the crash appears unrelated to the attacks. To make matters worse, an earthquake struck near an Iranian power plant around the same time.
