• Police Bureau Terminates Consulting Contract With Former Employee 

Last year, the Portland Police Bureau initiated a $150,000 no-bid consulting contract with one of its former employees. Now, the city's police chief says he's canceling that contract, amid budget constraints. The announcement came a day after the chief answered questions about potential cronyism.
