⢠Does Donald Trump actually have a well-honed philosophy of life and the presidency? Is it, fundamentally, nihilism? Or is it nihilism for others, "wins" for Trump, and plenty of manufactured distraction along the way to help everyone pass the time? Dan Zak explores:
It doesnât matter. Nothing really matters. Is this, finally, the Trump Doctrine?
â˘Â Judging by today's caravan of tweets, though, the migrant caravan matters to Trumpâor, at least, it matters enough to be used by Trump.
Sadly, it looks like Mexicoâs Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States. Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in. I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergy. Must change laws!

⢠Wait, Trump thinks there are "Middle Easterners" in a caravan of migrants from South America? Reporters asked him about it and:
Asked about his claim that the caravan includes âcriminals and unknown Middle Easterners,â Trump told reporters to go look for themselves.
⢠But in Texas, where Trump will be holding a rally to support Senator Ted Cruz tonight, "thousands wait in line for hours" to see the show. It was originally going to be held in an arena that seats 8,000. Now it's been moved to one that seats more than 18,000.
⢠Oh, and take note: Trump says Cruz is no longer Lyin' Ted. Today, Trump says, "heâs Beautiful Ted."
â˘Â Back in DC, away from the attention-seeking road show, the Trump administration is trying to define transgender people out of existence. But:
I have news for Donald Trump. I do exist. Trans men and women exist. Genderqueer people exist. We have been part of this country for hundreds of years â since before the Revolution, in fact. Redefining us wonât make us go away. It wonât restore your world to its precious, boring binary â which, I hate to tell you, never existed in the first place.
All it will do is make people suffer.
⢠And as for Trump's claim that he shouldn't get too tough on Saudi Arabia after the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi because that could cost America large amounts of money and jobs? Four Pinocchios:
President Trump is not very precise with numbers, but this is getting ridiculous. He keeps citing U.S. jobs supposedly at risk if arms sales are cut off with Saudi Arabia after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Not only has the purported number of jobs from a highly tentative arms deal with the Saudis kept climbing day after day, but in the course of few minutes, Trump appeared to go from 600,000 jobs to 1 million...
The president is both exaggerating the number of jobs that would be created even if all of the $110 billion in purported sales were actually inked â and misleading about where they would be created. Many would end up in Saudi Arabia.
