As more and more states debate over what to do with that racist historic relic (aka the Confederate flag), there's one place you won't be seeing it anymore... on top of the General Lee. One of the most famous TV cars in history, the General Lee was the Confederate flag-topped Dodge Charger often seen jumping piles of dirt in the classic hillbilly series The Dukes of Hazzard. However, reacting to the justified outrage of the American public over the controversial flag, Warner Bros. (who owns some of the merchandising rights) has decided to remove the General Lee's flag from their line of model and toy cars... though they're still calling the car "the General Lee"... soooooooo... anyway.

From Warner Bros. via Vulture:

"Warner Bros. Consumer Products has one licensee producing die-cast replicas and vehicle model kits featuring the General Lee with the confederate flag on its roof β€” as it was seen in the TV series,” a spokesman for the company said via email. β€œWe have elected to cease the licensing of these product categories."

For those who feel like the removal of the flag is a "history crime," you can shut up... because you'll still be able to see the original car on The Dukes of Hazzard TV show which still runs with unsurprising regularity on CMT (the Country Music Television network)β€”or in the following YouTube video which features 30 minutes of every jump the General Lee ever made. YEEEEE-HAW!
