President Barack Obama's plane touched down in Roseburg earlier today to greetings of ignorant protesters waving signs and saying they're planning on turning their backs to him if his motorcade drives by.

As a former Roseburger, I've been embarrassed—though completely unsurprised—by the reaction of residents afraid that, in the aftermath of last week's massacre at Umpqua Community College, Obama was coming to take away their guns.
