Here's the exclusive premiere of "Boiling the Ocean" by the Minders—the first song on the second disc of PDX Pop Now!'s 2016 compilation and the band's debut track from their forthcoming album, Into the River. It'll be the Minders' first album in eight years, and is slated for a September release.

The PDX Pop Now! festival is a free, all-ages celebration of local music. This year it'll take place July 22-24 under the Hawthorne Bridge at AudioCinema. After the jump you'll find the full tracklist for this year's PDX Pop Now! comp, 42 songs from some of Portland's most talented artists. From Roselit Bone's Conway Twitty-esque steel guitar ballad "Dreamless Sleep" to Mini Blinds' bubbly electro-pop "Witch Girl" to the unhinged poetry of Myke Bogan's "Cold Sushi," this eclectic mix of genres showcases the wondrous multiplicity of Portland's best music.
