And the most beloved leader of that community is undoubtedly Darcelle (AKA Walter Cole)—owner and grand maven of Darcelle XV Showplace, America’s longest running drag show. But that’s not all she’s accomplished! Check out this announcement from the Guinness Book of World Records:
The oldest drag queen performer is Walter “Darcelle XV” Cole (USA, b. 16 November 1930), who remains active at the age of 85 years, 273 days as of 15 August 2016.
