I’ll be talking a bit more about the heeeelarious and aaaaaaadorable Garfunkel & Oates in the upcoming edition of I Love Television™—but why wait until then to hear me blabbing about how great they are? IFC has released a full episode of their upcoming Garfunkel & Oates series (debuting on Aug 7), and this show looks like a winner! This episode: Riki and Kate go on a double-date (which includes comedian TJ Miller) to see if boys are more attracted to women who never say a stinking word. SCIENCE!
Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.) More by Wm. Steven Humphrey

These two “comedians” are just awful. Having watched a great many of their unfunny youtube videos, and now seeing that any 30 something hack with a guitar that can manage to parrot pop culture references, has now left me with the realization that hipster comedy is being enjoyed by legions of the lowest common denominator.
I also know about how extra sensitive the fans of these two can be, when people are not falling all over themselves to laud praise for these two.
Point of fact… Garfunkel and Oates are untalented, unoriginal, and just plain unfunny.
