Almost three years ago I moved to Portland and was so thrilled to meet my relative’s dog. He is beyond belief with his unconditional love. The first time I met him he lived in a big house in the suburbs. Now he is in a sprawling over the top apartment with his owners, and loves being the center of attention. He escapes when his owners open the apartment door, and runs to the lobby because the front doors open automatically. I can’t bear their not paying attention. I worry so.
I think he is my best friend, I love taking him places and pretending he is mine.
He was suppose to come this weekend, but my partner is very sick and not up to company.
I found out this morning the dog of my life is having an arthritis issue, and had to have his anal glands drained. I know part of his feeling blue is because he misses me. I want to tell my partner I need to go see him, this would leave my sick human alone. Just talking out loud. Very sad today. Just sharing my thoughts of real love.

Did you decide to drown your sorrow in LSD?
It is tough getting old, we all do it. Sorry kid.
Bummer, your best friend is sick. Our Rudy’s gettin’ on 10 and he has aches and pains more frequent. We soften up his special spots with pillows and rig an easier hop up for the guy to sit on the sofa. Then tune in his favorite album B.B. King “Indianola, Mississippi Seeds’ and he’s in hog heaven.
Oh yes, hope your human gets better for Christmas too.
OMG, another tough getting older. Let’s see you have a relative with a dog, your best friend. He/she is currently having arthritis pain and the anus is affected or infected.
There is a sick human in your place you don’t want to leave alone. Tomorrow, if you reread this rant; you might get a back bone and stop acting like a child. Have a drambuie on me.
no offense, but you come off as mildly retarded.
You had me up until you mentioned draining the anal glands….Ewwwwwwwwww!!
I think you need to take care of the sick human that is you. Neither the dog nor your partner is worse off.
