I started reading an article about the homeless at Hazelnut Grove and learned one “tenant” is waiting for the Spring semester to start so he can finish his SECOND Master’s Degree…. In fucking Library Science! Soon Hazelnut Grove will be a homeless encampment supported by Portland taxes and you’re getting another Master’s degree. What happened to the first one? Was it in Library Art and shortly after you felt you really needed Library Science to fulfill your hopes and dreams of being a Master Librarian? I’m shocked that you’re allowed to stay but I’m also curious to know how many other homeless people at the camp have college degrees. If none, how have you survived not getting your teeth kicked in by people who are actually in dire situations. It’s not cool to be homeless, it’s sad. Fucking hipsters.

  3. Someone working on a second masters already has an education. Some people choose to live how they do. Maybe they prefer that second masters to living indoors?
