Here’s a new one I’ve never seen before.
At a 4 way stop a Bus starts turning left but abruptly stops and honks because bike didn’t stop, apparently, coming in the opposite direction. Bus driver is now yelling out the window, “do you not see the bus.”
Lady on bike stops in middle of intersection and calmly says “do you not see the bike.”
This only mocks driver who is now screaming out the window “you do not have the right of way, you have a stop sign.” He continues saying to us passengers “no wonder why people get flattened, I can’t stand bikes these days.”
I don’t know anything but at least bike lady had her helmet on. She did look rather cute and entitled on that beach cruiser bike.
I don’t know. It was rather scary hearing the driver wail like that.
Right or wrong, you only become a fool for getting riled up.
I’m glad I’m having a good day, for a change, and not being the one riled up, that’s all I know.

  1. Let us mock a bus driver for trying to drive safely, and then
mock his experience of stress when some dork on a cruiser tries to play chicken. He has no right to a normal response, huh?

Listen up Tri-Met bus drivers: you have no right to express frustration with what must be a super easy job, piloting that huge vehicle through narrow streets with bikers, pedestrians and crazy homeless people.

  2. I would be going ape shit for sure. I don’t need to be a courteous bus driver like every other guy. I only wish I was an airline pilot. Then that’s even more appropriate.
