Helping Hand of Nothing with a Side of Non Profit

I’m a gay man who also happens to have Hiv. I’m poor and on the verge of being homeless. One would think that an organization that is set up to help people like myself and receives massive amounts of money from charity donations and government grants. A place with shiny new buildings downtown and mostly volunteer staff would help someone in my situation if only temporarily. WRONG. After 3 full attempts over the years for any assistance. Nothing. what exactly do you do? Where does the money you receive actually go besides your own pockets and high rent spaces downtown. I don’t know a single person with Hiv that you’ve actually done anything of real value for. Sorry I don’t need another free Hiv test and thanks for the websites your housing dept provided me that are full of unavailable places to rent. Its time cap was audited and showed us what they spend all the federal money and donations on. Meanwhile. I’ll let u know if I can make it to another intake meeting to discuss why there’s no help for me. The people your supposed to serve and help. I don’t suppose you can spare a dollar for the bus ride there? Only the third Thursday in the month of June. Guess I’ll wait. Thanks anyways for the high end coffee and free doughnuts in the lobby.
