The venue formerly known as the Panic Room (and before that the Tonic Lounge) has a new alias: the Raven. The Tonic Lounge exposed its rickety (and apparently bug-infested) bones on Bar Rescue last summer, only to be renovated and rebirthed as the Panic Room. Just over a year later it’s reinventing itself again, though it’s unclear if this change is simply in name. Last night DJ Wicked posted a photo of the new sign and mascot, which appears to be a dead raven with an abnormally long wingspan.

  1. Will they serve “poe boys”? Amontillado? Pitted (and pendulumed) olives? “The Tell-Tale Martini”? Conquerer Worm mezcal? Hop-Frog IPA? Have a drink called The Goldschlager-Bug? Play Usher?

  2. Are they turning into a goth club? Cuz thats what “The Raven” sounds like. Or, as Todd indicated, perhaps an Edgar Allen Poe bar?

  3. Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious, volumes of forgotten lore.
    E.A. POE.
