Listen, it’s not because I don’t like you. I do like you. You seem very nice. But I don’t want to see your phone. I don’t want to see the picture you’re going to show me. I definitely don’t want to watch a video. I don’t even want you to look up a question I just asked you. I used to tell you people I didn’t want to look at your phone when you tried to show me, but you always get mad at me for that. So now I just look for as little time as possible and fake caring just enough so that you’ll put it away. Because here’s the thing: I have a phone. I could be looking at it right now. But I’m not.
