Noche Libre Presenta Oldies
Local Latine DJ collective Noche Libre presents a night of nostalgic tunes inspired by their childhoods growing up in Ecuador, Honduras, and California. The music will transport you to a time when old school cumbia and salsa music spun on the record player while family members chatted and delicious smells wafted from the kitchen—even if that’s not at all similar to your childhood. DJs Lapaushi, Tati, and Mami Miami will be spinning throwbacks from regueton viejo (“old reggaeton” in Spanish) to Miami freestyle (a genre characterized by the band Freestyle’s 1985 electro hip-hop hit “Don’t Stop the Rock“).
