A woman on a motorized scooter was hit by a bus on SE Holgate Street this morning. She was not badly injured.

From KATU:

Holly Manley said she was traveling along the sidewalk in her motorized wheelchair when a bus leaving the TriMet bus lot near Southeast Holgate street slammed into her.

She hurt her arm and was scared by the incident but says she wants the driver to know she is not badly hurt. Her motorized scooter, similar to a motorized wheelchair, was damaged in the incident.

This comes a month after a TriMet bus ran over five people on NW Broadway. More on the aftermath of that event in today’s paper.

  1. One of these things is not like the other:

    “She was not hurt.”
    VS
“She hurt her arm and was scared by the incident”

WHICH ONE IS IT?!?!? WHICH ONE?!?!?!!!!?

  2. First they came for the pedestrians, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a pedestrian. Then they came for the motor scooterist, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a motor scooterist.
Then they came for the segways, and there was no one left to speak up.
