In the early days of the Mercury, I was walking through the office one day, tripped over something and fell down. Before I could get to my feet, publisher Rob Crocker’s large oily dog dashed into the room, hopped on my back, and pretty much had his way with my bottom. Of course, everybody watching thought it was hilarious and refused to help, which meant I had to lay there and let him finish. It was horrible, humiliating, and… okay, fine, kind of sexy…BUT REALLY HORRIBLE AND HUMILIATING.
