The federal government will soon stage one of the more bizarre and morbid online auctions in history. They’re selling off the Unabomber’s possessions.

That includes his arrows, his typewriters, and a 20,000-page manifesto. Money raised in the auction are going to the funds of Ted Kaczynski’s victims. The feds have uploaded pictures of all the items to Flickr. The photos are really haunting. It seems strange to bid on winning an imprisoned man’s random personal objects, but the way they’re arranged in the photos makes them appear to be almost art objects.

  1. Seems like the typewriter could be used for shenanigans. Like if someone had John Wayne Gacy’s hand and used it to paint clowns.
