…and Bachmann doesn’t even officially start running for president until tomorrow. New York Times says:
The Iowa Poll in the Des Moines Sunday Register — the first survey of the season — shows that Mr. Romney and Ms. Bachmann lead the crowded Republican field. Mr. Romney had 23 percent of support, and Ms. Bachmann had 22 percent.
This is great news for Bachmann and so-so news for Romney. The other winner from this poll is Herman Cain, who’s coming in at a solid ten percent. Way in the rear, you’ll find Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul tied for fourth at seven percent, with Tim “Remember me?” Pawlenty at six percent and Jon Huntsman barely registering at two percent.
Bachmann is from Iowa originally so this isn’t really very meaningful.
What this poll shows is that Iowa is full of imbeciles.
I was reading too fast, so I ended up imagining Romney and Bachmann necking in Iowa. I’ll probably lose a few pounds in the next week…
