It’s a shitty bootleg, but here’s the teaser for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers that’ll play (A) after Captain America‘s end credits, (B) at Comic-Con later this week, or (C) at both of those things, the latter ad nauseum. I’m guessing a better version will hit the web when the official version comes out, but until then, squint your way through this. Thanks to Grant for the heads up.
ALSO: Perhaps because the strategy worked so well for the mega-flop Green Lantern, Captain America isn’t screening for critics until after our press deadlines, so we won’t have a review of it in this week’s paper—but the Mercury‘s resident Captain America superfan, Ezra “Bucky” Caraeff, will have a review online on Thursday. That’s when we’ll also have a review for the Justin Timberlake/Mila Kunis joint Friends with Benefits, which, as far as I can tell, is about two extremely attractive people doing it, and thus will probably be pretty excellent.

No Ant-Man, though? (He’ll get his own second-tier movie eventually, from what I heard after I put my antennae up…)
It seems like they all have big tummy.. LOL..
Todd, we’ve already covered the OUTRAGE of the lack of the Astonishing Ant-Man and the Winsome Wasp in the new Avengers movie:

Pymless Avengers suck!
@dmitrir: Huh. I guess I was so stunned by the immensity of Humphrey’s font that I didn’t even make it to the comments. My bad!
The Captain America in this photo looks less silly than the one from the movie.
Torn between my love of Ant-Man and Wasp and my love of Joss Whedon. I may implode.
@Fruit Cup: I’m hoping the Avengers battle the Evil League of Evil in the movie.
