What a fine ambassadorial job Portland’s own Ron Funches did on Conan last night. There were so many elongated laugh breaks in his set that what what supposed to be about four minutes ran over six-and-a-half. After the show the producer told Ron that Conan loved the set so much he called for it to run un-cut. So there you have it—national recognition of Portland’s burgeoning comedy scene. Well done, Mr. Funches. Well done indeed.

    Not only is Graham skilled at serving somebody up some grammatical whupass, he is also helping the rest of us reach that ever elusive definition of hipster. You know, the folks that like to talk about not seeing any black folks here in town but, like, in an ironic sorta way, but not really.

Now what I would like to suggest is maybe pursuing a civil minded/ humanistic/ realistic look at what Graham is suggesting, would you want that said about you? Your children?
