Multnomah County Sheriffs Office has arrested 23-year-old Donovon Flippo, a member of the Proud Boys, for an alleged June 2018 assault in Portland.

Flippo was charged as a defendant in a February 27 grand jury ruling alongside Tusitala "Tiny" Toese, a 22-year-old member of Vancouver, WA's Patriot Prayer, an alt-right group whose members regularly overlap with the Proud Boys.

The county has yet to arrest Toese who, according to his social media accounts, appears to be visiting family in American Samoa.

Flippo and Toese are charged with assaulting 34-year-old Tim Ledwith on June 8, days after a violent Patriot Prayer protest in downtown Portland.

Ledwith, who was interviewed by the Guardian following the incident, said he was walking in Northwest Portland when a passenger in a black truck yelled pro-Trump phrases out the window. Ledwith said he cursed back at the truck, prompted the driver to pull over.

Toese and Flippo jumped out, and allegedly punched Ledwith in the face, causing several cuts that required stitches. The indictment charges both Flippo and Toese with assault in the third degree (a felony) and assault and fourth degree (a misdemeanor). Flippo's total bail is $7,500. Flippo is scheduled to face his charges tomorrow morning at the Mutnomah County Justice Center.

This is the second time Toese's been charged for assaulting someone with little provocation.

In December 2017, Toese punched a protester who flipped him off, and was sentenced to 12 months probation. In February, a Multnomah County judge issued a warrant for Toese's arrest in early February for violating the rules of his probation.

That means Multnomah County now has two warrants out for Toese's arrest. A spokesperson for the District Attorney's office wouldn't comment on the status of that warrant.
