Only four short days until the new Bond movie opens, and here’s a cool YouTube clip that shows a poster from each film in the series (and the film’s accompanying theme song) through the years. Some of the early hand-drawn posters are truly things of art, packing detail into the frame and evoking the sex and action much better than a still photo from the flick could ever manage.
When you line them all up like this, a few things become clear. Somewhere around the mid-’80s, the posters started to suck (About the time they abandoned the hand-drawn artwork), but from day one, all the Bond theme songs sucked. But some of those early posters were really amazing.
More cool Bond posters after the jump!

I’m pretty sure that the Dr. No poster is from the French release of the movie. The French always have better movie posters than the Americans. It’s an actual law of nature and can be found supporting the Grand Unified Field Theorum.

Moore is low on my list of favorite Bonds, but I do love that “Man With A Golden Gun” poster.
