This Google StreetView image of a pissed drunk Australian man has been making the rounds online today (here, too), but every time I see it I am reminded of a Gregory Crewdson photo.

Maybe because it’s so surreal? Or perhaps it’s the weird positioning of his limp body that makes for such a striking placement next to the oddly serene suburban background? Whatever it is, it makes me want to just look at more Crewdson images, which is never a bad thing.

Thanks for the fine art–and mild invasion of some poor guy’s privacy–Google!

    this one reminds me of ‘milk’.. even though it’s more like ‘post-milk nap’
