As I’ve noted before, I really like the Symphony of Science videos. I’m not sure why: They inevitably make me want to be a scientist, but that makes me sad, because I am terrible at science and math and pretty much anything else that requires book learnin’. I will never be a scientist. Unless maybe I become some sort of mad scientist, or possibly just a disgruntled scientist whose crazy schemes never quite work because he doesn’t have the fundamentals down because he got a C in eighth-grade earth science.

Anyway. New Symphony of Science! It’s great.

  1. Everyone knows that “science” is an industry mostly comprised of people rubbing data enough to get the statistical significance required for publication in refereed journals that no one reads. If I could do it again, I would run far away from science as a career choice-but I’m not bitter.
