MICHELLE MRUK

Calling all civic-minded citizens! This coming Thursday (August 5, 2020) is the final day to safely mail in your ballot for the upcoming special election on Tuesday, August 11.

While you still have until 8 pm on Tuesday, August 11 to drop off your ballot at one of many Official Ballot Drop Sites around town, if you plan on mailing your ballot, be sure to drop it in your mailbox or post office by tomorrow—and remember postmarks are not counted if your ballot arrives late.

Lucky for you, this time around your ballot will be remarkably easy to fill out since there is only one race to vote on: filling the seat for City of Portland Commissioner, Position 2 (the one vacated after the untimely passing of Commissioner Nick Fish). The two candidates in this Special Runoff Election are Loretta Smith and Dan Ryan—two...ummm... rather complicated candidates. Need help making your choice? Check out our MERCURY ENDORSEMENTS for all the info you need!

If you have not received your ballot and need a replacement, you can order one here. Concerned your ballot won't make it in time? Track your ballot here! All other voting questions can be answered here.
