Some of you may know the heeeee-lariously smart David Schmader as the former weekly author of Last Days (the One Day at a Time of our sister paper, The Stranger). But he is also an avowed POTHEAD, and author of the indispensable new book Weed: A User’s Guide—A 21st Century Handbook for Enjoying Marijuana. Tonight (Thurs April 28) he’ll be reading from this new book at Powell’s Books on Hawthorne at 7:30 pm, and will be joined by me, Wm. Steven Humphrey, an avowed drunk and disliker of pot who has a LOT of questions for this young man! (He is the expert after all.)

Trust me, this book is fucking GREAT, and actually gave me a new appreciation for the drug I love to hate. We’ll be having a fun, funny, enlightening conversation about weed, and we’d love to see you there!
