Rapt. CNN calls the Pennsylvania win for Obama “devastating for McCain.” And see that Bush pinata hanging from the ceiling?
Election 2008
Big Cheers For Pennsylvania!
The crowd here has given a big cheer for the huge, huge projected win for Obama in Pennsylvania. McCain put so much time and $ into the state, for nothing.
Live from Doug Fir
The party hasn’t technically started yet, but we’re watching CNN on the big screen, Blogtown’s being projected on a wall, people are drinking, and the place is filling up. Hustle down here if you want to get in!
Ugh.
Virginia is supposedly a bellwether state–if Obama takes it, he’s good to go. So far, that’s not looking so good. But it’s tightened up considerably since it was just six percent reporting:
Indiana Indiana Indiana
No way will Indiana go for Obama. NO WAY! Indiana is full of historic and current strongholds of the KKK – if it went for Obama… wow! That would actually mean something in the world. Check out the current map of the state everyone’s obsessing over:

Obama whips New Hampshire’s butt, which is significant because most voters there are white, and it’s the place people have been most afraid of a Bradley effect. McCain shows […]
The State of Mind Ticker and Early Leads
NYTimes.com not only has some amazing bloggers keeping an eye on the network coverage–a recent posting quotes Dan Rather, telling his staff “It’s very important not to have a mental mindset that this is a big night for Barack Obama.”–but they also have a pretty fucking cool state-of-mind-ticker-thingy. The way it works: you type in […]
Election Day Stories
I stopped by the Obama HQ on NE Killingsworth to see what was going on. They seem to have more volunteers than they know what to do with, with every phone staffed: Every passerby waved at: Every voter greeted by the man on the megaphone: And every kid with a huge smile on their face: […]
Beware The Exit Poll
The first polls are closing within minutes and we will be inundated with exit poll information. These running tally’s are what make the national election the equivalent of Superbowl Sunday for political junkies. But here’s some advice from Pollster.com blogger, Mark Blumenthal: Everyone wants to know as much as possible about the outcome of this […]
