- Cat Adoption Team
The nonprofit Cat Adoption Team out of Washington County has had a rough start to its year. First, a flood triggered by a burst pipe damaged 60 percent of its shelter in April. Now, someone broke into their mobile Spay Station over the weekend, stealing a laptop and kitty anesthetic. Really?
The trailer’s main purpose was to temporarily replace the water-damaged shelter, which is even more irritating. The damage to the surgical trailer (on loan from Multnomah county), that was parked in the shelter’s parking lot, rounds up to $2,000.
But—the Cat Adoption Team is far from giving up. Thanks to the warm weather, vets are saying “screw the broken windows” and still conducting surgeries into the week. You tell ’em.

I never like to go on swearing rampages, but… THAT’S FUCKED UP!
I’ve been to the Cat Adoption Team headquarters before the water break. I had never been to a facility with so many quiet and content cats. They really do a great job for such a shoestring budget. They literally give away thousands of pounds of cat food to people who can’t afford it.
If you can afford to, support the Cat Adoption Team.
